Becca and Bryn met in 2018 treating at a small private pelvic specialty clinic in NJ. They quickly became the closest of friends. They have supported each other professionally and personally, even when they both moved thousands of miles from NJ.
Liz and Bryn met while studying to become Board Certified in Pelvic Health and work together mentoring therapists while creating test prep material. This keeps Palm to Pine up to date with evidence based treatments for pelvic health.
Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women's Health Physical Therapy
Board-Certified in Biofeedback for Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction
Bryn graduated from the University of Delaware in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science. She worked as a medical microbiologist at Merck Pharmaceuticals and then as an andrologist at South Jersey Fertility. During that time, she found her love of physical therapy through volunteering at Weisman Children’s Hospital. Bryn then went on to graduate Stockton College with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2010. She has worked 14 years as a PT, and in many settings including hospital based therapy, orthopedics, and pediatrics. She has spent the past 9 years as a pelvic specialist.
Bryn has 2 board certifications in the field of pelvic health, as well as additional certifications for pelvic health physical therapy(PRPC), pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise specialist, and as a yoga instructor with a focus in pregnancy(RYT-200).
Bryn treats all genders and ages.
Her favorite way to spend her time is rock climbing and mountain biking with her family. Bryn strongly believes in physical fitness and works with all of her clients to help them participate in any exercise they love. Her own journey through infertility, abdominal and pelvic procedures, pregnancy/postpartum, and auto-immune dysfunction, drives her to help others return to activity without fear.
If you are located in Northern Colorado, come see Bryn in the office. Her in-clinic treatments are with Insight Pelvic Health in Loveland, Co.
Bryn offers mentoring to pelvic therapists. Mentoring can be for board prep including practice exams or for BCIA board certification for pelvic muscle dysfunction. Additionally mentoring can be to increase your knowledge and skill set. Learning opportunities for new therapists in this field are lacking. Bryn has extensive experience, is a WCS residency director, and the co-creator of Pelvic Health PT Prep. Email Bryn at: bryn.palmtopinepelvicpt@gmail.com.
Becca Ironside graduated with her Masters of Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 1998. Since then, she has worked in every facet of PT imaginable.
It wasn't until 2015 that Becca started her training for the pelvic floor. This was an organic shift, as she felt bored with traditional PT (not challenging enough) and she wanted to address the pelvic pain she has carried for decades.
Becca's favorite people to meet and talk to are those with chronic pelvic concerns who haven't gotten answers from the traditional medical model of care. Women with urinary problems that won't budge, those who have pain with sex and others who are going through the turbulent hormonal changes of perimenopause and menopause are just a few of the things that can be addressed with online visits. Becca also has a great fondness for treating young men with pelvic pain and men at any stage of the lifespan with prostate or pelvic concerns.
Men are typically under-served in terms of pelvic health and need a safe space to talk about what is happening. Women are more likely than men to seek out healthcare, but often find roadblocks with truly feeling listened to about their pelvic health. "No one can navigate the high seas of pelvic floor dysfunction alone," Becca believes. "I know how lonely and scary it feels and there is a way out. Let's try to find answers together.”
Liz O’Shaughnessy, PT, DPT, received her BA from Clemson University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She obtained her Board Certification in Women’s Health Specialization from the American Physical
Therapy Association in 2023. With 5 years of experience in pelvic health, she has assisted individuals of all ages, including men, women, and children, with pelvic health-related impairments.
During her doctoral studies, Liz conducted research and wrote a dissertation on chronic pain mechanisms. She has applied this research and knowledge to her current practice, where she has developed a passion for treating chronic pelvic pain conditions such as endometriosis, chronic prostatitis, dyspareunia, chronic urinary tract infections, and generalized chronic pelvic pain.
Liz’s approach as a therapist is to foster a collaborative and team environment where the client plays an integral role in the treatment process. Through education, exercise, and manual therapy (administered by the therapist or the client), patients can expect to enhance self-awareness and acquire the skills to
manage their symptoms, ultimately enabling them to return to function and resume enjoying life.
In addition to her work as a pelvic therapist, Liz is a mother to two beautiful daughters (and one fur daughter), a wife, and a passionate cook who loves spending time outdoors with her family.
Bryn was incredibly knowledgeable about the pelvic floor and gave me so much hope for myself. She gave me stretches and strategies I never even knew about and she took the time to validate my struggles. If you are looking for someone experienced and understanding, look no further. -M.B.
Bryn is very professional and caring. She made me feel comfortable talking about something so vulnerable. She also has a lot of knowledge and explains things in a very simple way so that I could understand it even though my visit was through telehealth. I would recommend her services for anyone dealing with pelvic pain! N.S
